About
Gavin Brown joined HKIEd in January 2009 from the University of Auckland. He is a Senior Research Fellow for the CEQI Project at the Human Sciences Research Council, Pretoria, RSA . His interests are in teachers' and students' conceptions of assessment and the impact of those on practices, belief systems, and educational outcomes. Cross-cultural research permits investigation into the impact of policy, ethnicity, culture, and language upon the relations of these beliefs upon behaviour and learning. Previously Gavin was a test developer for the NZCER (www.nzcer.org.nz) and the asTTle project (www.asttle.org.nz) at the University of Auckland.
